Andy Davidson is the Senior Director, Solutions Engineering at Fortreum with over 15 years of IT consulting experience in information security, IT compliance, and security control assessment. He has deep functional expertise in federal policies, standards, and guidelines governing Security Assessment and Authorization, grounded in NIST and FISMA frameworks. Since 2012, Andy has focused extensively on testing cloud services—IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS—through the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), making him a seasoned voice in cloud security compliance for federal agencies and contractors.
Before joining Fortreum, Andy held senior leadership roles at 38North Security, including Vice President of Operations & Strategic Alliances and Senior Director of Cloud Security Engagement, and served as Senior Director for FedRAMP & Assessment Services at Coalfire. His career also includes tenures at Veris Group, Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI, and Computer Sciences Corporation, spanning governance, risk, and compliance work as well as personnel security. Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Communication from George Mason University and carries certifications including CompTIA Security+, CCSK, HITRUST CSF, Certified CSF Practitioner, and multiple AWS accreditations.
